Wigs? Why Wear Them?

Despite wigs just being a 'covering for the head', it is also very much worn within todays society even more by a vast majority of people and not just by judges, barristers, or even just people who are 'bald'. Especially when it comes to lace wigs, as it can be made to look as though it is your hair growing out your scalp due to the techniques used in the making and installing of the wig.

There are many reasons as to why a lot more people within todays society wear wigs; one of the reason is because it can be used as a protective style for natural hair, in which not only enables protection for the hair, but it has also proven to grow natural hair due to the protective styles underneath the wig (cornrow).

Wearing wigs also protects natural hair from things such as heat or even chemicals from dying/bleaching. This is very beneficial because it allows you to be versatile with different styles, textures, lengths and even colours, which enables you to express yourself by not having to worry about your natural hair being damaged.

People also wear wigs because it saves time, especially if you have natural hair in which requires more maintenance. This is beneficial because if you don't have time to do so, there are wigs available that can resemble your hair texture making it easier and quicker to style and go.

For me personally I wear wigs just because I enjoy switching up my looks, so one day I may be feeling a water wave textured wig, then the following week I may want to have straight long black hair... Also because it has really help to protect and grow my natural 4c hair texture.
